The NDL INDUSTRIES W1337 is a copper reducing bushing designed to transition between two different tube sizes within a sweat-soldered copper piping system. It connects a 1-1/8 inch fitting end (FTG) to a 7/8 inch cup-end (C) fitting, allowing a larger copper line to step down to a smaller diameter without additional adapters. This type of bushing is a standard component in hydronic heating, refrigeration, and plumbing rough-in work. Licensed plumbers and HVAC-R technicians install this part wherever a direct inline size reduction is needed on a copper sweat assembly.
This reducing bushing is suited for residential and light commercial copper piping applications including domestic water supply, HVAC refrigerant line assemblies, and hydronic systems. The FTG x C configuration means the male fitting end slides into a standard 1-1/8 inch cup fitting while the opposite end accepts a 7/8 inch tube or fitting. It ships in box quantities of 25, making it practical for contractors stocking commonly needed transition fittings on the truck or at the shop.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-use copper reducing bushing for sweat-solder copper piping systems requiring a 1-1/8 inch FTG to 7/8 inch C transition.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or HVAC-R technician following applicable codes such as the IPC or applicable mechanical codes for refrigerant piping. Shut off and depressurize the system completely and allow all piping to cool before cutting or fitting. Clean and flux all mating surfaces thoroughly before soldering, and use only lead-free solder where required by local plumbing code. Do not overheat the fitting during sweat joining, as excessive heat can damage the copper and compromise the joint.
