The NDL INDUSTRIES W1320 is a copper reducing bushing designed to transition between two different pipe sizes within a copper plumbing system. With a fitting-to-copper (FTG x C) connection type and a 3/4-inch by 5/8-inch size configuration, this bushing inserts into a fitting socket on one end and accepts a copper tube on the other. It is a standard component used by licensed plumbers during new construction, renovation, and repair work where a pipe diameter reduction is required at a joint or fitting assembly.
This reducing bushing is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing applications where copper supply lines are being transitioned from a larger to a smaller nominal pipe size. The FTG x C configuration means the bushing slips into an existing fitting socket and accepts a sweat-soldered copper tube on the opposite end, making it a common choice for close-quarters pipe reduction without adding extra fittings to the assembly.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-use reducing bushing for copper sweat-solder plumbing systems using 3/4-inch and 5/8-inch nominal pipe sizes.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers following local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before cutting or fitting any connections. Clean and flux all mating surfaces before applying heat for a proper sweat-solder joint. Avoid overheating the fitting, as excessive heat can compromise the copper or adjacent components.
