The NDL INDUSTRIES W1215 is a copper female adapter designed to transition between a sweat (copper) connection and a female pipe thread (FPT) connection. It accepts a 3/8-inch copper tube on the sweat end and steps down to a 1/4-inch FPT threaded port on the outlet. This fitting is used by licensed plumbers and HVAC technicians to connect copper tubing runs to threaded fittings, valves, or equipment ports. The C x FPT configuration makes it a common component in refrigeration, plumbing, and hydronic piping assemblies where a threaded female port is required at the termination point.
This adapter suits residential and light commercial applications where copper tube must connect to a 1/4-inch female threaded fitting, valve body, or equipment stub. Typical installations include refrigerant line connections, water supply transitions, and instrumentation taps in HVAC and plumbing systems. It is sold in a box quantity of 50, making it practical for contractors stocking common transition fittings on the truck or in the shop.
Designed as a standard C x FPT copper adapter for use with 3/8-inch copper tubing and 1/4-inch female pipe threaded connections in plumbing, HVAC, and refrigeration piping systems.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or HVAC technician using standard sweat-soldering practices in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and ASTM standards. Shut off and depressurize the water or refrigerant system and allow all components to cool fully before cutting or fitting copper tubing. Clean the tube end and fitting socket thoroughly and apply flux before soldering to ensure a leak-free joint. Thread connections on the FPT end should be made with appropriate thread sealant or tape rated for the system fluid.
