The NDL INDUSTRIES W1065 is a copper reducing coupling designed to connect two copper tubes of different diameters in a sweat-solder (C x C) configuration. It transitions from a 1.625-inch connection on one end to a 1.125-inch connection on the other, allowing a plumber or HVAC tech to reduce line size within a copper piping system. This fitting is made for direct integration into potable water, hydronic, or refrigeration piping where a smooth, leak-free diameter transition is required. Installation requires standard soldering tools and technique.
This reducing coupling is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing and mechanical systems where copper pipe sizes need to be stepped down. The C x C ends accept standard copper tubing and are prepared for lead-free solder joining per applicable plumbing codes. It ships in a box quantity of 10, making it practical for contractors stocking fittings for multiple rough-in installations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and new-install fitting for copper piping systems using standard C x C sweat connections in residential and commercial plumbing or mechanical applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified mechanical contractor in accordance with local plumbing codes and the IPC. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before cutting and fitting. Clean and flux all mating surfaces before soldering, and allow the joint to cool fully before restoring flow or pressure-testing. Use lead-free solder where required by code for potable water applications.
