The NDL INDUSTRIES W1058 is a copper reducing coupling designed to connect two copper tubing runs of different diameters using sweat (solder) end connections. It transitions from a 1-3/8-inch fitting end down to a 7/8-inch fitting end in a C x C (copper-to-copper) configuration. This type of fitting is a standard component in refrigeration, HVAC, and plumbing piping systems where line size reduction is required. Licensed plumbers and HVAC technicians install this fitting as part of new construction, retrofit, or repair work on copper piping systems.
This reducing coupling is suited for residential and light commercial applications where copper tubing must step down in diameter along a run. Common install scenarios include refrigerant line sets, hydronic heating systems, domestic water distribution, and drain or vent piping where copper is specified. The C x C end connections require standard soldering with appropriate flux and solder per local plumbing or mechanical code requirements. Sold in a box quantity of 10 units.
Designed as an OEM-style sweat-connection fitting compatible with standard copper tubing in 1-3/8-inch and 7/8-inch nominal sizes, suitable for HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing piping applications where a C x C reducing coupling is required.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or HVAC technician familiar with soldering copper fittings. Shut off and depressurize the system and purge any refrigerant or fluid before cutting into the line. Clean and flux both tube ends and the fitting sockets thoroughly before applying heat and solder per local mechanical or plumbing code requirements. Never solder near flammable materials without proper shielding, and allow the joint to cool fully before restoring system pressure.
