The NDL INDUSTRIES W1056 is a copper reducing coupling designed to connect two copper pipes of different diameters in a sweat-solder (C x C) configuration. It transitions from a 1-3/8 inch socket to a 1-1/8 inch socket, making it a practical fitting for residential and commercial plumbing and HVAC refrigerant piping systems where line sizes change. Plumbers and HVAC technicians install this fitting when reducing or expanding copper line runs during new construction, renovation, or system repair work.
This coupling is suited for use in potable water supply lines, hydronic heating systems, and refrigerant suction or liquid line piping where a diameter reduction is required. The C x C end connections require standard copper tubing preparation and a sweat-solder joint on both ends. It is sold in a box quantity of 10, making it appropriate for contractors stocking fittings for multiple jobs.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for copper tube systems requiring a reducing coupling in C x C configuration at 1-3/8 inches by 1-1/8 inches nominal sizes.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or HVAC technician. Shut off the water supply or recover refrigerant and depressurize the system before cutting into any existing line. Clean and deburr both pipe ends, apply flux, and sweat-solder the joint in accordance with applicable IPC or IFGC requirements and local code. Do not apply heat to a pressurized or wet line.
