The NDL INDUSTRIES NCHBF-305S is a liquid line filter drier engineered for reversible heat pump systems. It removes moisture, acids, and solid debris from the refrigerant circuit, protecting compressors and metering devices from contamination damage. With a desiccant volume of 30 cubic inches and a nominal capacity rating of 20 tons, this unit is sized for commercial and large residential heat pump applications. End connections are 5/8 inch ODF soldered, and the overall length is 10.42 inches. Licensed HVAC technicians handling refrigerants are the primary installers of this component.

Installation Notes

Installation must be performed by an EPA 608-certified HVAC technician. Recover all system refrigerant and relieve system pressure before cutting into the liquid line. Use a nitrogen purge during brazing to prevent internal oxidation of the desiccant core and copper tubing. After installation, pull the system to the required vacuum level before recharging to ensure desiccant integrity and proper system operation.
