The NDL INDUSTRIES NCH-415S is a liquid line filter drier with a 5/8-inch sweat connection, designed to remove moisture, acids, and contaminants from refrigerant systems. It uses an XH-11 desiccant, a 70/30 combination of desiccant and activated alumina, providing effective moisture control without removing the R32 component from R410A blends. The shell is furnace brazed in an oxygen-free environment, which eliminates rust and adds structural strength to the fitting end. End connections are finished with electro-less nickel plating. Three basket-shaped honeycomb perforated plates minimize pressure drop across the system. The drier is UL and RoHS approved and carries a black powder coat finish rated to withstand a 1,000-hour salt spray test. Licensed HVAC technicians install this component during system commissioning or after any repair requiring line opening.
The NCH-415S is suited for residential and light commercial refrigerant systems using R410A and other compatible refrigerants. It is installed in the liquid line between the condenser and the metering device. It is applicable in split-system air conditioners, heat pumps, and similar vapor-compression systems where contamination control and moisture removal are required. The unit is packaged under positive pressure between 30 and 40 PSIG to prevent contamination prior to installation.
Designed as an OEM-style liquid line filter drier for refrigerant systems using R410A and other compatible refrigerants with a 5/8-inch sweat connection. Not suitable for applications requiring removal of R32 from blended refrigerants.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician following applicable mechanical codes and EPA Section 608 refrigerant handling requirements. Always recover refrigerant and relieve system pressure before cutting into the liquid line. Braze connections using nitrogen purge to prevent oxidation scale inside the line set. Verify flow direction arrow on the drier shell is oriented toward the metering device before final brazing.
