The NDL INDUSTRIES NCH-084S is a solid-core liquid line filter drier designed to protect refrigeration systems from moisture, acid, and solid contaminants in the liquid refrigerant circuit. It uses molecular sieves rated above XH-11 grade, and the pore size is engineered so the drier will not absorb R32 components — a critical design feature for systems using R32-based refrigerant blends. Connections are 1/2 inch sweat, making this a solder-in installation suited for licensed HVAC-R technicians working on ducted or ductless refrigeration equipment.
This filter drier is suited for ducted and ductless refrigeration applications where liquid-line filtration and moisture control are required. The solid-core construction provides consistent desiccant performance throughout the service life of the drier. HVAC-R technicians installing or servicing systems that use refrigerants with R32 components will find the selective pore-size design particularly relevant for maintaining refrigerant blend integrity.
Designed for use in ducted and ductless refrigeration systems, including those using R32-component refrigerant blends. Suitable as a liquid line filter drier in systems requiring XH-11 or higher desiccant ratings.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC-R technician. Recover all system refrigerant and relieve system pressure before cutting into the liquid line. Use a nitrogen purge during brazing to prevent oxidation scale inside the drier and refrigerant circuit. Install the drier with the flow arrow oriented in the direction of refrigerant flow toward the metering device, and replace the filter drier any time the system is opened for service.
