The ND INDUSTRIES 56710 is an anaerobic retaining compound formulated for high-temperature, high-strength applications on non-threaded, cylindrical metal assemblies. It cures in the absence of air and fills voids between close-fitting metal parts, converting separate components into a solid, unified assembly. Rated for high-strength performance, it bonds metal-to-metal interfaces while sealing joints against fluid leakage and preventing corrosion. Supplied in a 10 ml bottle, it is suited for use by maintenance technicians, millwrights, and industrial service professionals working on shafts, bearings, bushings, and sleeve assemblies.
This compound is applied in industrial and commercial maintenance settings where cylindrical press-fit or slip-fit metal assemblies require increased shear strength and leak-free seals. Typical applications include bearing-to-housing fits, shaft-to-hub assemblies, and sleeve or bushing retention where mechanical fastening alone is insufficient. Its high-temperature rating makes it appropriate for equipment operating in elevated heat environments such as motors, pumps, and HVAC mechanical components.
Designed for use on non-threaded, cylindrical metal assemblies including bearing-to-housing, shaft-to-hub, and bushing retention applications where close metal fits are present.
Surface preparation is critical — both mating metal surfaces should be clean, dry, and free of oils, grease, and contaminants before application. Apply compound to one surface only and assemble parts immediately; cure begins once air is excluded between the mating surfaces. Disassembly after cure typically requires heat or mechanical press force depending on the bond strength achieved. Follow the manufacturer's safety data sheet for handling, ventilation, and disposal requirements.
