The NATIONAL MFG/SPECTRUM BRANDS HHI N248-294 is a zinc wire cable clamp designed for forming an eye or loop on wire rope. It is a core rigging hardware component used wherever a secure, load-bearing loop termination is needed at the end of a wire rope assembly. The saddle bases are grooved to conform to the wire rope profile, increasing grip strength and reducing slippage under load. Each package contains 20 clamps. This hardware is installed by electricians, riggers, maintenance technicians, and general tradespeople working with wire rope and cable assemblies in both structural and utility applications.
This clamp is suited for use in residential, commercial, and industrial settings wherever 1/4 inch wire rope terminations are required. Common applications include guy wire anchoring, cable railing terminations, overhead lifting support, and structural tie-down systems. The grooved saddle design makes it appropriate for use in applications where a reliable loop or eye formation must resist movement and maintain tension over time. The 20-count pack is well suited for project-quantity purchasing.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard hardware fitting for 1/4 inch wire rope assemblies requiring loop or eye terminations in general rigging and cable management applications.
Wire cable clamps are installed by qualified tradespeople familiar with rigging hardware and wire rope termination practices. Before installation, de-tension and secure the wire rope assembly. Saddle orientation is critical — always seat the saddle on the live or load-bearing side of the rope, never on the short dead-end tail. Follow applicable ASME B30 or industry rigging standards for proper clamp spacing, quantity per termination, and torque requirements as specified by the wire rope manufacturer.
