The NATIONAL MFG/SPECTRUM BRANDS HHI N208-652 is a right-hand friction lid support finished in bright brass plating. It is designed to hold lids open at any position on shallow-depth boxes, chests, and similar enclosures with a minimum depth of 2.5 inches. The adjustable friction tension allows the lid to stay in any set position and helps prevent slamming. Hardware installers, cabinetmakers, and finish carpenters use this type of hardware on light-duty storage boxes, decorative chests, and built-in case goods where controlled lid movement is required.
