The NATIONAL MFG/SPECTRUM BRANDS HHI N173-823 is a heavy duty gravity action hinge designed for swinging cafe-style doors. It accommodates doors ranging from 0.75 inches to 1.375 inches thick and supports door weights up to 50 pounds. The hinge features a Delrin top pivot bearing and a bottom pivot cam that eliminate metal-to-metal contact, resulting in quiet operation and extended service life. Ample in-and-out lateral adjustment allows for precise door alignment during installation. Removable ramps are included, giving the installer control over door return behavior.

This hinge is suited for residential and light commercial cafe-style swinging door applications, including kitchen pass-throughs, saloon-style entries, and similar interior installations. When the ramps are in place, the door automatically returns to the closed position. With the ramps removed, the door can be left open on either or both sides.
