The NATIONAL MFG/SPECTRUM BRANDS HHI N100-260 is a 3/16 inch wire rope clamp designed for forming eyes and loops on wire rope ends. The assembly uses a steel U-bolt and hex nuts that clamp against a malleable iron saddle, delivering firm holding strength at the termination point. This clamp meets the torque requirements of Federal Specification FF-C-450D, Type 1, Class 2. U-bolt and hex nuts are included. Riggers, ironworkers, and general contractors use this clamp when securing wire rope for lifting, tie-down, or anchoring applications. This package contains 100 clamps per unit.
The N100-260 is suited for light-to-medium rigging tasks where a reliable wire rope termination is needed. Common applications include forming anchor loops for webbing, straps, and wire rope assemblies in construction, industrial, and maintenance settings. The malleable iron saddle and steel U-bolt construction holds up in demanding field conditions. Always follow the required number of clamps per loop based on wire rope diameter as specified by applicable rigging standards.
Designed for use with 3/16 inch wire rope in standard eye and loop termination applications.
Installation is typically performed by riggers, ironworkers, or maintenance professionals familiar with wire rope termination procedures. Always de-tension the wire rope before installing or adjusting clamps. Tighten hex nuts evenly and follow the minimum number of clamps per loop as required by applicable rigging codes and the wire rope manufacturer. Do not use saddle-style clamps in reverse orientation, as improper installation reduces holding capacity.
