The NATIONAL MARKER N248401 is a hinge pin door stop designed to limit how far a door swings open, protecting walls, baseboards, and door hardware from impact damage. Made from die-cast zinc with a white finish, this stop mounts directly on an existing door hinge rather than to the floor or wall. It provides 1.875 inches of projection and requires no tools to adjust the stop angle once installed. Facility maintenance technicians, contractors, and building trades professionals typically install this type of hardware during door hardware service or new construction finish work.
This door stop is suited for residential and light commercial interior door applications where floor or wall-mounted stops are impractical or undesirable. The hinge-pin mounting style works with standard residential hinges and leaves no additional fastener holes in the door frame or flooring. It is sold as a single unit and is appropriate for retrofit installations on existing doors as well as new construction.
Designed as an OEM-style hinge pin door stop compatible with standard residential door hinges that accept a removable hinge pin.
Installation is performed by removing the existing hinge pin from a standard door hinge, sliding the stop over the pin, and reinserting the pin into the hinge knuckles. No special tools are required for mounting or adjustment. Ensure the door is held securely or propped during hinge pin removal to prevent the door from shifting. Once installed, adjust the stop position to the desired door swing limit before allowing the door to operate normally.
