The NAPCO G1714 is a 4-inch gasketed street 22.5-degree elbow (1/16 bend) manufactured to SDR35 standards for gravity-fed sewer and drainage systems. The spigot-by-gasketed (SxG) end configuration allows one end to insert directly into a gasketed fitting hub, simplifying transitions without a separate coupling. At 0.72 pounds, this lightweight fitting is well-suited for underground drain, waste, and vent (DWV) applications where low deflection angles are needed to maintain proper flow direction. Licensed plumbers and drainage contractors are the primary installers.
This fitting is used in residential and commercial below-grade sewer laterals, storm drainage piping, and gravity-flow sewer mains where a gradual 22.5-degree change in direction is required. The SDR35 wall thickness rating makes it appropriate for typical shallow-burial municipal and site utility work. The gasketed joint allows for slight in-field deflection during assembly, which is useful when aligning to existing infrastructure.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fitting for 4-inch SDR35 PVC gravity sewer and drainage piping systems using gasketed joint connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified drainage contractor in accordance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) or applicable local codes. Confirm the trench bed is properly compacted and graded before placing the fitting. Lubricate the gasket with an approved pipe joint lubricant before joining; do not use petroleum-based lubricants on elastomeric gaskets. Follow local inspection requirements for sewer lateral work before backfilling.
