The MUELLER STREAMLINE w 02834 is a long-radius street 90-degree elbow copper fitting designed for solder-joint supply and pressurized piping systems. It features a fitting-end (FTG) inlet and a cup-end (C) outlet, allowing it to fit directly into another fitting socket without a separate coupling. Sized at 7/8 inch OD, this elbow is manufactured from wrot copper and carries NSF certification and UL recognition, making it appropriate for potable water and general pressurized systems. The long-radius geometry reduces flow restriction and turbulence compared to standard short-radius elbows, which matters in higher-flow or noise-sensitive installations.
This fitting is used in residential and light commercial plumbing, hydronic heating, and refrigeration piping where a 90-degree directional change is required and space permits a long-radius sweep. The street configuration eliminates one coupling point, reducing the total number of joints in tight runs. Plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting in copper tube systems using standard lead-free solder and flux per applicable code requirements. Its 7/8 inch OD sizing corresponds to standard copper tube sizing used in supply-line and branch applications.
Designed as a solder-joint replacement fitting for 7/8 inch OD copper tube systems in supply and pressurized applications. Compatible with standard wrot copper and cast bronze solder-joint fitting systems using FTG x C connections.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or pipefitters using standard copper soldering practices. Shut off and depressurize the water or fluid system and drain all lines before cutting or fitting. Clean tube ends and fitting sockets thoroughly and apply lead-free flux before soldering per ASTM and applicable local plumbing code requirements. Do not apply heat unevenly or overheat the fitting, as this can compromise solder-joint integrity.
