The MUELLER STREAMLINE W 01743 is a copper flush bushing designed for solder-joint pressure piping systems. It transitions from a 1-1/4 inch sweat (C) connection on the fitting end to a 1 inch female NPT (FNPT) thread on the outlet end. Rated at 700 psi, this bushing is suited for supply and pressurized water distribution applications. It is manufactured domestically from wrot copper, delivering consistent wall thickness and reliable joint integrity. Licensed plumbers install this fitting during new construction or retrofit work where a reducing connection between a copper sweat line and a threaded pipe section is required.
This bushing fits into residential and light commercial plumbing systems wherever a copper-to-threaded reduction is needed in a pressurized supply line. The sweat inlet allows it to be soldered directly into a copper run, while the FNPT outlet accepts standard tapered male pipe threads. Typical applications include water supply mains, branch lines, and riser connections where nominal size reduction from 1-1/4 inch to 1 inch is required.
Designed as an OEM-style solder-joint replacement bushing for residential and commercial copper pressure piping systems using standard sweat and NPT threaded connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off and depressurize the supply line fully before cutting or disassembling any existing piping. Clean and flux all copper mating surfaces before soldering; do not use open flame near flammable materials. The FNPT outlet must be thread-sealed with an appropriate pipe thread compound or tape before making up the threaded connection.
