The MUELLER STREAMLINE TEE00140 is a 90-degree copper sweat tee fitting used to split or combine flow in copper tubing systems. All three ports are 3/4-inch copper (C) connections, sized at 5/8 x 5/8 x 5/8 inches actual connection size, making this a standard equal tee configuration. Weighing 0.12 pounds, it is a compact, lightweight component suited for residential and light commercial plumbing and HVAC hydronic piping. Rated for temperatures from -20 to 400 degrees F, it handles both chilled water and hot water applications. Licensed plumbers and HVAC technicians install this fitting as part of copper distribution systems using standard sweat-solder technique.
This fitting is appropriate for residential water supply lines, hot and cold domestic plumbing distribution, and hydronic heating or cooling loops where 3/4-inch copper tubing is specified. It is also used in refrigeration and HVAC applications where copper sweat connections are required. The 90-degree branch angle allows a perpendicular takeoff from the main run, which suits standard tee branch configurations throughout a system. NSF, UL, and UR certifications make it acceptable for potable water systems as well as mechanical system piping.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation copper sweat tee for 3/4-inch copper tubing systems in residential and light commercial plumbing and HVAC applications.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or HVAC technician using standard sweat-solder methods. Shut off the water supply and depressurize and drain the line before cutting into existing copper pipe. Clean and flux all joint surfaces thoroughly before applying solder, and follow applicable local plumbing codes and IAPMO or IPC standards for potable water installations. Do not apply excessive heat to the fitting body during soldering, as this can damage joint integrity.
