The MUELLER STREAMLINE rp10148 is a copper ACR press coupling with stop, configured in a P x P (press by press) end arrangement at 1 3/8 inches OD. It is designed for use in air conditioning and refrigeration (ACR) piping systems where a reliable, solder-free mechanical joint is required. The press-style connection eliminates open flame during joining, making installation faster and safer in occupied or sensitive environments. Rated to 700 psi maximum operating pressure and suitable for temperatures from -40 degrees F to 250 degrees F, this coupling delivers performance consistent with demanding commercial and residential HVAC-R applications. Licensed HVAC technicians and refrigeration mechanics are the primary installers.
This coupling is suited for ACR copper tube and piping systems in residential and commercial HVAC, refrigeration, and related mechanical applications. The press-fit design is intended for use with compatible press tooling and jaws sized for 1 3/8 inch OD ACR tube. The integrated stop ensures consistent insertion depth before pressing, reducing the risk of under-insertion. It is appropriate for both new construction and retrofit work where flame-free joining methods are specified or required by local code.

Installation requires a press tool with jaws rated and sized for 1 3/8 inch ACR press fittings — do not use HVAC press jaws interchangeably with plumbing press profiles without verifying compatibility. Recover and evacuate the system before cutting into any live refrigerant line, following applicable EPA Section 608 requirements. Verify that tube ends are cut square, deburred, and cleaned before insertion to the stop. Inspect each pressed joint for the indicator window confirmation per the fitting manufacturer's pressing instructions before returning the system to service.
