The MUELLER STREAMLINE PF40195 is a wrot copper press tee designed for plumbing and mechanical piping systems. It joins copper tube using a tool-actuated press connection — no open flame, no solder, no flux. The fitting measures 4 inches by 4 inches by 1-1/2 inches and handles operating pressures up to 300 psi across a temperature range of -20 degrees F to 250 degrees F. SURE PRS Seal Technology provides 360-degree leak detection that flags un-pressed connections before the system is pressurized. All three end connections are press-type, made from C12200 wrot copper with EPDM seals. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting in commercial and residential mechanical piping.
This tee is rated for plumbing and mechanical applications using ASTM B88 hard-drawn copper tube in Types K, L, and M from 1/2 inch through 4 inches, and soft copper tube from 1/2 inch through 1-1/4 inches. It is suited for branch takeoffs in larger distribution lines where a 4-inch main run steps down to a 1-1/2-inch branch. The flameless installation method makes it appropriate for occupied buildings, retrofit projects, and locations where hot-work permits are restricted or impractical.
Designed for use with ASTM B88 Types K, L, and M hard-drawn copper tube from 1/2 inch to 4 inches and soft copper tube from 1/2 inch to 1-1/4 inches. Compatible with most common pressing tools and jaws available in the market.
Installation must be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and ASME B16.51 requirements. Shut off and depressurize the supply line completely before cutting into the pipe or seating the fitting. Use a calibrated press tool and jaw set rated for 4-inch copper press fittings — confirm the tool manufacturer approves the jaw size before pressing. Inspect each connection for the 360-degree indicator after pressing to confirm a complete seal before restoring pressure.
