The MUELLER STREAMLINE PF02395 is a copper press-fit street elbow designed for large-diameter hydronic and mechanical piping systems. It features a 90-degree long-radius bend in a press x fitting (FTG) configuration, allowing the male press end to seat directly into a standard fitting socket — eliminating one coupling and reducing overall system footprint. Installation is flame-free, using a press tool instead of solder or brazing, which reduces labor time and eliminates open-flame hot-work permits in occupied or fire-sensitive spaces. The 3-inch size suits high-flow commercial applications where pressure drop and flow capacity are critical design factors.
This fitting is intended for commercial and light industrial mechanical piping installations, including HVAC hydronic systems, boiler plant piping, chilled water distribution, and large-capacity domestic water systems. It is installed by licensed plumbers and mechanical contractors working in commercial mechanical rooms, boiler plants, and similar environments where large-bore copper press fittings are specified. The long-radius geometry supports smooth directional transitions that minimize turbulence and pressure loss at the bend.
Designed as an OEM-style press fitting replacement for 3-inch copper mechanical piping systems using press-fit connection technology. Compatible fittings and pipe must conform to standard 3-inch copper press fitting dimensions.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or mechanical contractors using a calibrated copper press tool sized for 3-inch fittings. Shut off and depressurize the piping system completely before cutting in or pressing any fitting. Verify pipe end preparation — pipe must be cut square, deburred, and cleaned per the fitting manufacturer requirements before pressing. Work must comply with applicable local plumbing codes and ASME B16.18 or B16.22 standards as adopted by the authority having jurisdiction.
