The MUELLER STREAMLINE PDWVCOMBY112 is a 1-1/2 inch long radius combination tee-wye fitting designed for drain, waste, and vent (DWV) piping systems. This fitting combines the flow characteristics of both a tee and a wye into a single casting, allowing branch connections while maintaining smoother flow transitions than a standard sanitary tee. The hub x hub x hub configuration accepts solvent-welded plastic or slip-fit pipe at all three openings. Licensed plumbers and drain-line installers use this fitting in residential and light commercial waste piping where code-compliant, low-restriction branch takeoffs are required.
The PDWVCOMBY112 is suited for horizontal drain runs and vertical stack installations in residential and light commercial DWV systems. Its long radius sweep reduces turbulence and helps prevent solids buildup at the branch junction. The combination tee-wye geometry is widely accepted by plumbing codes for use in drain and waste lines, making it a common choice when running branch lines off a main 1-1/2 inch drain stack or horizontal run. It is appropriate for lavatory drains, utility sink drains, and similar low-flow waste applications.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and new-construction fitting for 1-1/2 inch hub-connection DWV piping systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) or the applicable local plumbing code. Shut off water supply and verify the line is drained before cutting into an existing drain run. Clean and prime all hub sockets and pipe ends before applying solvent cement, following the adhesive manufacturer's instructions for proper cure time before restoring flow. Confirm branch orientation and flow direction before cementing, as the fitting cannot be repositioned after solvent cure.
