The MUELLER STREAMLINE K057340 is a 4-inch nominal long turn DWV street bend fitting manufactured from PVC. It features a spigot x hub end style, allowing one end to insert directly into a standard hub fitting while the other end accepts a spigot connection. Designed for drain, waste, and vent (DWV) piping systems, this long-turn configuration provides a gradual change in flow direction that minimizes turbulence and reduces the risk of clogs in gravity-drainage lines. Licensed plumbers install this fitting in residential and light commercial DWV rough-in work as a code-compliant alternative to short-turn elbows where flow conditions require a smoother sweep.
This fitting is suited for use in PVC DWV systems operating under non-pressure, gravity-flow conditions. The long turn geometry is appropriate in horizontal drain runs and in vertical stack offsets where building codes require or recommend a more gradual bend radius. The domestic manufacture designation indicates the fitting meets applicable ASTM standards for PVC DWV fittings. It is commonly installed in residential drain-line rough-in, waste stack configurations, and sanitary sewer laterals inside the building footprint.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and new-installation fitting for 4-inch nominal PVC DWV piping systems using solvent-cement joints.
This fitting is installed by licensed plumbers in accordance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) or applicable local plumbing code. Shut off water supply and ensure the drain line is clear before beginning work. Solvent-cement PVC joints require proper primer and cement application per manufacturer instructions and must be allowed to cure fully before the system is put back into service. Do not use this fitting in pressurized supply lines.
