The MUELLER STREAMLINE ELL00906 is a wrot copper street 45-degree elbow designed for sweat-solder copper piping systems. It connects a fitting-end (FTG) male inlet to a 3/4-inch copper socket outlet, allowing directional changes in a run without adding a separate coupling. Wrot copper construction delivers the pressure integrity and corrosion resistance required in residential and light commercial plumbing and hydronic applications. The street configuration means one end slips directly into another fitting socket, reducing the total fitting count at tight transitions. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the primary installers of this fitting.
This elbow is used wherever a 45-degree change of direction is needed in a 3/4-inch copper water supply, drain assist, or hydronic line. Typical scenarios include domestic hot and cold supply runs, baseboard heating supply and return piping, and in-wall or under-slab copper rough-in work. The FTG x C end configuration makes it especially useful when chaining fittings in confined spaces such as mechanical rooms, crawl spaces, and within wall cavities where a full coupling would add unwanted length.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and new-construction fitting for 3/4-inch wrot copper sweat-solder piping systems with FTG x C end connections, conforming to standard copper fitting dimensions.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) and applicable local codes. Shut off the water supply and fully drain the line before soldering to prevent steam voids and poor solder flow. Clean both the FTG male end and the copper tube with emery cloth or a fitting brush, apply approved flux, and heat evenly before introducing solder. Do not overheat the fitting, as excessive heat can damage adjacent fittings or flux and produce a weak joint.
