The MUELLER STREAMLINE ELL00100 is a 90-degree wrot copper street elbow designed for close-rough plumbing installations. Manufactured in a short-radius, street configuration, it connects using a fitting-to-copper (FTG x C) joint, allowing it to be inserted directly into the socket of another fitting without a separate coupling. This elbow is sized at 3/8 x 3/8 inches and weighs 0.03 pounds, making it a compact component suited for tight spaces in residential and light commercial copper piping systems. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters rely on this fitting when building or servicing copper water distribution lines where directional changes are required in confined rough-in conditions.
This elbow is used in residential and light commercial plumbing systems where a 90-degree change of direction is required in a 3/8-inch copper line. Its street configuration eliminates one fitting from the assembly, reducing the number of solder joints in congested areas. Typical applications include domestic water supply lines, hydronic heating connections, and refrigeration or HVAC copper tubing runs where space constraints make a standard elbow impractical.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and new-installation fitting for standard 3/8-inch copper tubing systems using sweat-solder connections per ASTM and ASME B16.22 wrot copper fitting standards.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipefitter following local plumbing codes and IAPMO standards. Shut off and depressurize the water supply and drain the line before cutting or disassembling existing copper pipe. Clean all mating surfaces with emery cloth and apply flux before soldering; follow ASTM B828 procedures for lead-free solder joints. Do not overtighten or force the fitting into misaligned tubing, as wrot copper fittings are designed for properly reamed and deburred pipe ends.
