The MUELLER STREAMLINE CO45STLFTGC112 is a 1-1/2 inch copper 45-degree street elbow configured with a fitting-end (Ftg) inlet and a cup-end (C) outlet. Street elbows combine a male fitting end and a female socket end in a single body, eliminating the need for an additional coupling when making direction changes in a copper line. This fitting is used to redirect a copper pipe run at a 45-degree angle and is soldered in place using standard lead-free solder and flux. It is handled and installed by licensed plumbers working on residential and light commercial potable water, hydronic heating, and general copper piping systems.
This street elbow is suited for straight copper tube runs where a 45-degree change of direction is required without adding extra fittings. The Ftg x C end configuration means the male spigot end inserts directly into the bell of an adjacent fitting, while the female cup end receives standard copper tube. It is commonly used in supply lines, branch connections, and offset configurations in both new construction and retrofit plumbing work.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and new-installation fitting for 1-1/2 inch nominal copper piping systems using standard sweat-solder connections.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber using standard copper soldering tools including a torch, lead-free solder, and flux. Shut off and drain the water supply line completely before cutting into any existing pipe. Clean all mating surfaces with emery cloth or a pipe cleaning brush before applying flux and soldering. Work must comply with applicable local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC) requirements for copper sweat joints.
