The MUELLER STREAMLINE acp10143 is a 3/8-inch OD brass push-fit coupling designed for tool-free, flame-free joining of copper refrigerant lines in air conditioning and heat pump systems. Licensed HVAC technicians and refrigeration mechanics use this fitting to make permanent connections without brazing equipment or special tools. Proprietary BackBite Grip Ring Technology locks onto hard or soft-tempered copper tubing and a double O-ring seal provides leak-tight performance rated to 700 psi continuous operating pressure. The fitting is manufactured in the USA and carries a 10-year warranty.
The acp10143 is suited for residential and commercial refrigerant piping installations and service repairs involving AC systems, heat pumps, mini-split systems, VRF and VRV systems, and non-potable water or technical inert gas applications. Its push-fit design is especially practical in tight spaces where torch access is limited or where flame-free work practices are required by code or building policy. The fitting is compatible with a wide range of current HFC and HFO refrigerants but is not approved for use with R-22.
Approved for use with refrigerants R-125, R-134a, R-32, R-404A, R-407A, R-407C, R-407F, R-407H, R-410A, R-417A, R-421A, R-422B, R-422D, R-427A, R-438A, R-444A, R-447A, R-447B, R-448A, R-449A, R-450A, R-452A, R-452B, R-452C, R-454A, R-454B, R-454C, R-457A, R-459A, R-507A, R-513A, R-513B, R-718, R-1234ze, R-1234yf, R-290, and R-600A. Compatible oils include Mineral Oil, POE, PVE, PAO, PAG, and AB. Not compatible with R-22. For use with hard and soft-tempered copper tubing in AC, heat pump, mini-split, VRF, VRV, non-potable water, and technical or inert gas applications.
Installation is performed by licensed HVAC or refrigeration technicians. Always recover refrigerant and depressurize the system before cutting into existing lines. Ensure copper tubing ends are cut square, deburred, and clean before inserting into the fitting until the tube bottoms out against the internal stop. Because this is a non-removable fitting, verify routing and fit before making the final push connection.
