The MUELLER STREAMLINE a 02509nl is a lead-free, 90-degree reducing elbow fitting designed for copper-to-male-threaded transitions in plumbing systems. It connects a 1/2-inch copper tube (sweat end) to a 3/4-inch male threaded outlet, making it a reliable choice for reducing and redirecting supply lines in a single fitting. Cast from lead-free brass and compliant with SDWA 1417 standards, this elbow is suited for residential and industrial plumbing applications where potable water safety and long-term durability are required. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the primary installers.
This fitting is used in residential and industrial piping systems where a direction change and size transition are needed simultaneously. The female soldered inlet accepts 1/2-inch copper tubing using standard sweat soldering technique, while the 3/4-inch male threaded outlet connects to threaded fittings, valves, or adapters. Common applications include fixture supply connections, valve transitions, and branch line redirects. It is rated for temperatures from 350 degrees F to 550 degrees F, making it appropriate for both hot and cold water service as well as compatible heating system applications.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and new-installation fitting for residential and industrial copper plumbing systems requiring a 1/2-inch CxM x 3/4-inch male threaded, 90-degree reducing connection.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IPC standards. Shut off the water supply and fully drain the line before cutting and fitting. The copper sweat end requires proper flux application and soldering with an appropriate lead-free solder; allow the joint to cool completely before restoring water pressure. Do not over-torque the threaded connection — use PTFE tape or approved thread sealant on the male threads per manufacturer and code requirements.
