The MUELLER STREAMLINE a 02151nl is a lead-free reducing tee fitting designed for copper piping systems in residential and industrial plumbing applications. Manufactured from cast brass and compliant with SDWA 1417 lead-free standards, this fitting connects a 1/2-inch female soldered inlet and a 1/2-inch female soldered outlet with a 3/4-inch female threaded branch port. The CxFxC end configuration makes it suitable for transitions between sweat-soldered copper lines and threaded fittings in the same run. It carries a temperature rating from 350 to 550 degrees F and is backed by a 50-year warranty, making it a reliable long-term component in potable water and general plumbing systems.
This reducing tee is intended for use in residential water supply lines, commercial plumbing rough-in work, and light industrial piping where a branch takeoff with a change in diameter is required. The mixed end connection — female sweat on the run ends and female threaded on the branch — supports installations where a threaded valve, fixture, or adapter must be introduced into a copper main line. Both residential plumbers and industrial pipefitters will find this fitting applicable to a wide range of service configurations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation reducing tee for copper potable water and plumbing piping systems requiring a CxFxC sweat-to-threaded branch connection in 1/2 x 3/4 x 1/2-inch nominal sizing.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IPC requirements. Shut off the water supply and fully depressurize and drain the line before cutting in or soldering any fitting. Use proper flux and lead-free solder on the sweat ends, and apply appropriate thread sealant or tape on the female threaded branch port before assembling threaded components. Do not exceed the rated temperature range during soldering or system operation.
