The MUELLER STREAMLINE 5754 is a 3-inch straight sanitary tee fitting designed for PVC drain, waste, and vent (DWV) piping systems. It features a hub by hub by hub end connection on all three ports, providing a solvent-weld joint for a secure, leak-resistant assembly. Manufactured from PVC conforming to ASTM D2665, F1498, D331, and D1784, the fitting delivers strong chemical and corrosion resistance suitable for sanitary drainage applications. Smooth interior walls minimize friction loss and resist scaling, keeping flow unrestricted over the service life of the installation. Plumbers and pipefitters working in residential, commercial, and light industrial settings will find this fitting a reliable, code-compliant component.
The 5754 is suited for use in drain, waste, and vent systems where a straight tee branch configuration is required. Typical applications include sanitary drainage runs in residential and commercial construction, as well as industrial installations where chemical and corrosion resistance is needed. The fitting meets NSF 14 and UPC standards, supporting code compliance in jurisdictions that reference those marks. It is appropriate for interior DWV rough-in work where gravity-flow drainage lines require a branch takeoff at the same plane as the run.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fitting for 3-inch PVC DWV piping systems conforming to ASTM D2665 and related specifications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) or applicable local code. Shut off water supply and ensure the drainage system is depressurized and drained before cutting into existing lines. Use a proper PVC pipe cutter or saw, deburr all cut ends, and apply a compatible PVC primer and solvent cement rated for DWV service. Allow full cure time per the cement manufacturer instructions before restoring flow to the system.
