The MUELLER STREAMLINE 5/8x50 is a 50-foot coil of ACR-grade copper refrigeration tubing with a 5/8-inch outer diameter and 0.035-inch wall thickness. ACR tubing is cleaned, dehydrated, and capped at the factory to meet the contamination standards required for refrigerant and air conditioning applications. It is used by HVAC technicians and refrigeration service professionals for line set installations, equipment connections, and field fabrication of refrigerant circuits. The coil format allows for clean, continuous runs with minimal joints, and the soft-drawn temper makes it field-bendable without specialized equipment.
This tubing is suited for residential and light commercial HVAC and refrigeration work, including split-system air conditioner line sets, refrigeration equipment connections, and similar applications. Beyond refrigerant service, it is also rated for use with natural gas, LP gas, and compressed air, making it a versatile option for mixed-trade service environments. The UL Listed designation confirms it meets recognized safety standards for these applications.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation tubing for air conditioning and refrigeration systems requiring 5/8-inch OD ACR copper tubing. Also suitable for natural gas, LP gas, and compressed air service where copper tubing is code-permitted.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician or refrigeration mechanic in accordance with applicable mechanical codes. Recover any refrigerant and de-energize the system completely before cutting into an existing refrigerant circuit. Use a sharp tubing cutter to make clean, square cuts, and ream cut ends to remove burrs before flaring or brazing. For refrigerant applications, the system should be evacuated to the required micron level before recharging.
