The MUELLER INDUSTRIES W 04056 is a wrot copper pipe tee designed for soldered copper piping systems in plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical applications. With a run size of 1 inch and branch size of 3/4 inch, it accepts standard C x C x C (sweat) end connections on all three ports. Wrot copper construction provides superior strength and pressure performance compared to cast fittings. The fitting meets multiple ASME and NSF standards, making it appropriate for potable water, hydronic, and refrigeration piping where code compliance is required. Licensed plumbers and HVAC mechanics are the primary installers.
This tee is used in residential and light commercial piping systems where a 1-inch main line is reduced or branched to 3/4-inch outlets. Typical applications include domestic hot and cold water distribution, hydronic heating branch circuits, and chilled water piping. The solder-joint design is compatible with standard soft and hard copper tubing in nominal sizes matching the fitting dimensions. It is sold as a single fitting with a minimum order quantity of one.

Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified mechanical contractor in accordance with applicable plumbing codes such as the IPC or local equivalents. Shut off and drain the water supply completely before cutting into any existing line. Clean all tube ends and fitting cups thoroughly with emery cloth and apply flux before soldering; use lead-free solder where required for potable water applications. Allow the joint to cool fully before restoring system pressure.
