The MUELLER INDUSTRIES W 03063 is a wrot copper 45-degree elbow fitting designed for sweat-solder copper piping systems. With a 2-1/2 inch fitting size and a cup-by-cup (C x C) end connection, this elbow redirects flow at a 45-degree angle with a clean, leak-resistant solder joint. The outside diameter measures 2-5/8 inches. Wrot copper construction delivers superior strength, ductility, and corrosion resistance compared to cast fittings, making it a reliable choice for pressure piping applications in commercial and residential plumbing and HVAC hydronic systems. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting as part of copper distribution and mechanical piping assemblies.
This fitting is suited for use in residential and light commercial plumbing systems, hydronic heating and cooling piping, and general-purpose copper pressure piping applications. The 45-degree angle makes it well-suited for offset runs where a gentler directional change is required compared to a 90-degree elbow. The C x C solder joint configuration is compatible with standard copper tubing per ASTM sizing conventions and is commonly used in supply lines, return lines, and mechanical room piping.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-use fitting for 2-1/2 inch copper pressure piping systems using C x C solder joint connections in plumbing and hydronic mechanical applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off and drain the system completely before cutting into existing piping. Clean and deburr all tube ends, apply approved flux, and sweat-solder using the appropriate lead-free solder per code requirements. Avoid overheating the fitting during soldering, as excessive heat can damage the fitting or compromise the joint.
