The MUELLER INDUSTRIES W 03044 is a wrot copper 45 degree elbow fitting designed for copper-to-copper sweat connections in residential and commercial plumbing and HVAC piping systems. It accepts 1 inch nominal pipe size with an outside diameter of 1-1/8 inches and uses a standard solder joint end connection type (C x C). Wrot copper construction provides a dense, refined grain structure that delivers consistent wall thickness and leak-resistant joints when properly soldered. Plumbers and HVAC mechanics install this fitting wherever a 45 degree directional change is needed in a copper piping run. The fitting meets multiple ASME and NSF standards, making it suitable for potable water and hydronic applications.
This 45 degree elbow is suited for residential water supply lines, commercial plumbing distribution systems, and hydronic heating or cooling piping. It is used wherever a low-angle directional offset is required and a full 90 degree turn is not practical. The solder joint connection is compatible with standard copper tubing and requires only common sweat-fitting tools. Installers working on boiler loops, chilled water systems, domestic hot and cold supply, and similar copper piping configurations will find this fitting appropriate for their work.
Designed as an OEM-style sweat fitting for use with standard 1 inch nominal copper tubing in potable water, hydronic, and HVAC piping systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified HVAC mechanic in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and ASME standards. Shut off and drain the water supply or system fluid before cutting into any existing piping. Tube ends and fitting sockets must be properly cleaned and fluxed before applying heat and solder. Do not overheat the fitting, as excessive heat can damage the copper or cause flux to burn off before the solder flows properly.
