The MUELLER INDUSTRIES W 02386 is a wrot copper 90-degree street elbow designed for solder-joint copper piping systems. It features an FTG x C (fitting-by-copper) end connection, allowing one end to insert directly into a fitting socket while the other accepts standard copper tube. The 2-inch fitting size and outside diameter of 2.125 inches make it suited for medium- to large-diameter copper distribution lines. Plumbers and pipefitters use this elbow to make 90-degree direction changes within water supply, HVAC hydronic, and general plumbing piping assemblies. Wrot copper construction provides dense grain structure and higher pressure ratings compared to cast fittings.
This street elbow is used in residential and light commercial plumbing and hydronic systems where a 2-inch copper pipe changes direction by 90 degrees. The FTG x C configuration eliminates the need for a separate fitting on one side of the connection, saving space in tight installations. It is appropriate for potable water, hydronic heating and cooling, and general copper piping applications. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters perform the solder-joint installation in accordance with applicable plumbing codes.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-fit component for 2-inch wrot copper solder-joint piping systems using FTG x C connections in residential and commercial plumbing and hydronic applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) and local authority having jurisdiction requirements. Shut off and depressurize the water or hydronic system and drain the line fully before cutting and soldering. Clean all mating surfaces with emery cloth and apply flux before sweating the joint; do not overheat wrot copper fittings as this can damage the fitting and compromise the joint. Confirm the completed joint is leak-free under system pressure before returning the system to service.
