The MUELLER INDUSTRIES W 01164 is a wrot copper pipe adapter designed to transition between a 1-inch copper socket (C) end and a 3/4-inch male threaded (M) end using a solder joint connection. Wrot copper construction provides consistent grain structure and high pressure integrity, making it suitable for potable water, hydronic heating, and general plumbing distribution systems. The adapter weighs 0.206 pounds and carries an outside diameter of 1-1/8 inches on the cup end and 3/4 inch on the male threaded end. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting in both residential and commercial applications where a diameter reduction and a transition from sweat to threaded connection is required.
This adapter is used in supply line assemblies, boiler piping, and domestic water distribution where a size reduction from 1-inch to 3/4-inch is needed alongside a sweat-to-thread transition. The C x M configuration allows the installer to solder the cup end onto copper tubing while threading the male end directly into a female-threaded valve, fitting, or equipment port. It is sold individually and is appropriate for new construction and retrofit installations in residential and light commercial plumbing systems.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for copper plumbing systems requiring a 1-inch to 3/4-inch solder-to-male-thread adapter in residential and commercial piping assemblies.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the International Plumbing Code (IPC) and applicable local codes. Shut off and depressurize the water supply and drain the line before cutting or soldering. Clean and flux all copper mating surfaces before applying heat; do not use open flame near flammable materials without proper shielding. Thread the male end into the receiving fitting with appropriate thread sealant or tape rated for potable water service.
