The MUELLER INDUSTRIES W 01130 is a wrot copper pipe adapter designed to transition between a 1/2 inch copper sweat connection and a 3/4 inch male threaded connection. Configured as C x M (copper sweat inlet by male NPT outlet), this fitting is joined on the sweat end via solder and connects to threaded pipe or fittings on the male end. Wrot copper construction provides superior grain structure and pressure integrity compared to cast fittings, making it a standard choice for potable water systems, hydronic heating lines, and plumbing rough-in work. HVAC techs, plumbers, and pipefitters reach for this adapter when connecting copper tubing runs to threaded valves, strainers, or equipment ports.
This adapter is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing and hydronic systems where a copper sweat-to-male threaded transition is needed. Typical applications include connecting copper supply lines to threaded valve bodies, mixing valves, boiler connections, and equipment inlets. It is appropriate for use in potable water systems where NSF 61G compliance is required. The 5/8 inch outside diameter on the sweat end and 3/4 inch outside diameter on the male threaded end are consistent with standard nominal pipe sizing conventions.
Designed as an OEM-style and aftermarket replacement copper sweat-to-male threaded adapter for 1/2 inch C x 3/4 inch M applications in residential and commercial plumbing and hydronic piping systems where NSF 61G and ASME B16 compliance is specified.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Shut off the water supply and fully drain the line before soldering to ensure a dry, moisture-free joint. Clean both the tube end and fitting socket with emery cloth and apply lead-free flux before soldering; use only lead-free solder on potable water applications per applicable code. Thread the male end into the receiving fitting by hand first, then tighten with a wrench to avoid cross-threading or over-tightening the copper threads.
