The MUELLER INDUSTRIES LS03100 is a seamless copper tube designed for use in plumbing, HVAC, and refrigeration piping systems. Manufactured from C12200 phosphorus deoxidized copper, this tube meets ASTM B88 and NSF 61G standards, making it suitable for potable water, hydronic, and mechanical piping applications. It measures 0.500 inches outside diameter with a 0.375 inch inside diameter and a wall thickness of 0.035 inches, delivered in a 100-foot coil weighing 19.8 pounds. Licensed plumbers, HVAC technicians, and mechanical contractors are the primary installers.
This tube is used across residential and light commercial installations where a 3/8 inch nominal seamless copper line is required. Common applications include domestic hot and cold water distribution, radiant heating supply and return lines, refrigerant suction and liquid lines, and HVAC condensate or chilled-water piping. The 100-foot coil length reduces field joints and speeds rough-in work on longer runs. The seamless construction minimizes leak points and holds pressure more reliably than welded tube in cyclic-temperature environments.
Designed as an OEM-style and general-use replacement or new-install seamless copper tube for residential and commercial plumbing, HVAC, and refrigeration piping systems requiring a 3/8 inch nominal, 1/2 inch OD seamless copper tube conforming to ASTM B88.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or HVAC technician in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes, the International Plumbing Code, or IFGC requirements. Shut off and depressurize the system before cutting or joining. Use a sharp tubing cutter to avoid work-hardening the cut end, and ream the bore fully before soldering or brazing to maintain rated inside diameter. Do not overbend the coil without a proper tube bender, as kinking will compromise wall integrity and flow capacity.
