The MUELLER INDUSTRIES LH10005 is a Type L copper water tube designed for potable water supply, hydronic heating, and general plumbing distribution systems. Manufactured from Grade C12200 phosphorus-deoxidized copper, this tube measures 1-1/8 inches OD with a 1.0 inch ID and a 0.05 inch wall thickness. The 5-foot length weighs approximately 3.275 pounds and runs 0.655 pounds per foot. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this tube in residential and light commercial applications where reliable, pressure-rated copper piping is required. It meets ASTM B88, NSF 61G, and UNS C12200 standards for water service.
This Type L copper tube is suited for indoor and underground potable water lines, hot and cold domestic water distribution, and hydronic radiant or baseboard heating systems. The nominal 1-inch size fits standard 1-inch copper fittings and valves common in residential trunk lines and branch supply runs. It is also used in refrigeration and HVAC hydronic piping where Type L wall thickness is specified by design or local code. Trade professionals working on new construction, retrofit, or repair jobs will find this a direct fit for standard sweat, press, or flare connections in the 1-inch nominal size class.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-stock straight length compatible with 1-inch nominal copper sweat, press, and flare fittings used in residential and light commercial potable water and hydronic plumbing systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the International Plumbing Code and applicable local amendments. Shut off and depressurize the water supply before cutting or joining. Use a pipe cutter sized for 1-1/8 inch OD tubing and ream the cut end before soldering, pressing, or flaring. Support spacing and joint preparation must follow ASTM B88 and local code requirements for Type L copper tube.
