The MUELLER INDUSTRIES KS03100 is a 100-foot coil of seamless copper tubing designed for potable water supply, plumbing distribution, and mechanical piping applications. Manufactured from C12200 phosphorus deoxidized copper, this tube meets ASTM B88 and NSF 61G standards, making it suitable for systems carrying drinking water. The 1/2 inch OD with a 0.049 inch wall thickness provides reliable pressure capability and resistance to corrosion in both residential and light commercial installations. Licensed plumbers and mechanical contractors use this tube for branch lines, main runs, and equipment connections where long continuous coil lengths reduce the number of joints required in a run.
This tubing is used in residential and commercial potable water distribution systems, hydronic heating supply lines, and refrigeration or HVAC applications where copper is the specified material. The 100-foot coil format is well suited to retrofit and new construction installs where a single continuous run is preferred to minimize solder or press joints. At 0.269 pounds per foot, the full coil weighs approximately 26.9 pounds, making it manageable for a single technician on most job sites.
Designed as an OEM-style and field-use copper water tube compatible with standard 1/2 inch OD copper fittings, solder-joint, press-fit, flare, and compression connections per ASTM B88 Type K, L, and M dimensional standards where 1/2 inch OD seamless copper is specified.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with the applicable edition of the International Plumbing Code and local amendments. Shut off and depressurize the water supply before cutting into any existing line. Use a sharp tubing cutter to produce a clean square cut, and ream the ID fully before soldering or making any mechanical connection to ensure unrestricted flow. Do not use open-flame torches near combustible framing without appropriate fire protection measures in place.
