The MUELLER INDUSTRIES D 06020P is a seamless copper tube manufactured from Alloy 122 copper, designed for use in refrigeration, HVAC, and plumbing applications. It measures 20 feet in length with a 3/8-inch outside diameter, a 0.311-inch inside diameter, and a 0.032-inch wall thickness. The seamless construction eliminates longitudinal seams, reducing the risk of leaks under pressure cycling. Licensed HVAC technicians and plumbers rely on this tubing for refrigerant line sets, hydronic distribution runs, and general fluid transfer installations where copper compatibility and consistent wall thickness are required.
This tube is suited for both residential and light commercial applications. Its 20-foot length is commonly used for short refrigerant line set runs, condensate routing, and small-bore plumbing connections. The Alloy 122 grade, also known as phosphorus-deoxidized copper, is well regarded for its weldability and brazing compatibility, making it a standard choice in HVAC and plumbing rough-in work where torch brazing or compression fittings are used.
Designed as an OEM-style and general-use replacement or new-install copper tube for residential and light commercial HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing systems requiring 3/8-inch OD seamless copper tubing.
Installation of copper refrigerant and plumbing tubing should be performed by a licensed HVAC technician or plumber in accordance with applicable mechanical and plumbing codes, including IFGC and IPC references where relevant. Always isolate and recover refrigerant or shut off water supply before cutting into any existing system. Use a sharp tube cutter to avoid deforming the tube wall, and ream cut ends to restore full inside diameter before brazing or fitting connections. Do not bend the tube beyond its minimum bend radius without a proper tube bender to avoid wall collapse.
