The MUELLER INDUSTRIES D 04050P is a seamless copper tube manufactured from C12200 phosphorus-deoxidized copper, conforming to ASTM B280 and UNS C12200 standards. It measures 1/4 inch outside diameter with a 0.030 inch wall thickness and comes in a 50-foot length. This tubing is used in refrigeration and air conditioning systems for refrigerant lines, connecting components that require a clean, drawn, seamless tube with consistent wall thickness. HVAC and refrigeration technicians rely on this ACR-grade tubing for field fabrication of refrigerant circuits. The phosphorus-deoxidized alloy is compatible with common refrigerants and brazing processes.
This seamless copper tube is suited for residential and light commercial refrigeration and air conditioning applications. It is commonly used when running refrigerant lines between condensing units and evaporator coils, fabricating capillary or small-bore refrigerant circuits, and other ACR service work requiring small-diameter copper tubing. The 50-foot coil length provides enough material for most single-system line runs without additional fittings. The tube arrives in coil form ready for field bending and brazing by a licensed refrigeration or HVAC technician.
Designed as an ACR-grade seamless copper tube for use in refrigeration and air conditioning refrigerant line applications conforming to ASTM B280 requirements.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC or refrigeration technician following applicable mechanical and refrigeration codes. Purge the tube with dry nitrogen during brazing to prevent internal oxidation scale that can contaminate the refrigerant circuit. Evacuate and leak-test the completed line set before introducing refrigerant. Avoid kinking the tubing during bending; use an appropriate tube bender sized for 1/4 inch OD copper to maintain consistent inside diameter through bends.
