The MUELLER INDUSTRIES BDNA-15612 is a wrot copper pipe adapter designed to transition between a 5/8 inch copper sweat connection and a 3/4 inch male threaded connection. The C x M end configuration makes it suitable for connecting smooth-bore copper tubing to threaded pipe fittings in a single step. Wrot copper construction provides consistent wall thickness and high-integrity joints when properly soldered. This adapter is a standard plumbing fitting installed by licensed plumbers and journeyman pipefitters working on potable water, HVAC hydronic, or general copper distribution systems.
This fitting is used in residential and light commercial applications where a copper sweat-to-male-thread transition is required. Common installation scenarios include connecting copper supply lines to threaded valves, fixtures, or equipment stubs. The 5/8 inch sweat end accommodates standard 5/8 inch OD copper tubing, while the 3/4 inch male thread end mates with standard NPT female threaded fittings. Plumbers working on retrofit or new-construction copper systems will encounter this adapter frequently at equipment connections and shutoff valve assemblies.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-use fitting for residential and commercial copper piping systems requiring a sweat-to-male-thread adapter at 5/8 inch x 3/4 inch sizing.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable IPC or local plumbing codes. Shut off the water supply and fully depressurize and drain the line before soldering or brazing. Clean the copper sweat end with emery cloth and apply appropriate flux before making the sweat joint. Do not apply thread sealant tape or compound to the copper sweat end — thread sealant is used only on the male NPT threads.
