The MUELLER INDUSTRIES b-25008n 1 is a lead-free brass ball corporation stop valve designed for use in water service line applications. It controls the flow of water at the main tap point, serving as the primary shutoff between the water main and the service line entering a structure. The valve features a full 1-inch orifice, a brass ball, and a led brass alloy stem trim with EPDM/Nitrile softgoods for reliable sealing. It is rated for 300 psi working pressure. The end configuration is CC (corporation cock) inlet by 110 CTS outlet, conforming to AWWA taper thread standards. Licensed plumbers and water service contractors are the primary installers.
This corporation stop is intended for residential and light commercial potable water service line installations. It is installed at the water main tap, where the corporation thread engages the drilled and tapped main. The 110 CTS outlet connects directly to copper tubing service lines sized for 1-inch nominal pipe. Its lead-free construction satisfies regulatory requirements for potable water systems. This valve suits new service installations as well as service line replacements where the existing corporation stop must be swapped out at the main connection point.
Designed for use in potable water service line installations where a 1-inch nominal CC x 110 CTS corporation stop valve is required. The CC inlet follows AWWA taper thread standards and the 110 CTS outlet is sized for standard 1-inch copper tubing service lines.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or water service contractors in accordance with local plumbing codes and AWWA standards. The water main must be shut off or the tap must be made under pressure using approved tapping equipment before installation. Verify that the CC taper thread engagement is complete and leak-free before backfilling. Do not overtighten the CTS compression connection; follow the fitting manufacturer's assembly instructions for proper make-up.
