The MUELLER INDUSTRIES 15693 is a wrot copper flush bushing designed to reduce a 5/8-inch fitting outlet to a 1/2-inch cup-end connection. Flush bushings seat flush with the end of the fitting rather than shoulder-stepping inside the bore, allowing for a clean inline transition between two different tube sizes. This fitting is manufactured from wrot copper, which is wrought and drawn to produce a denser, stronger grain structure than cast fittings. Plumbers and HVAC technicians use this bushing wherever a compact, low-profile reduction is needed in a sweat-soldered copper system. The FTG x C end configuration means the male fitting-end slips into a standard cup-end fitting on one side, and the female cup end receives standard 1/2-inch copper tube on the other.
