The MTD PRODUCTS INC 17ARFACTA66 is a residential zero turn riding mower built around a 22 HP Kohler twin-cylinder engine and a 46-inch fabricated steel cutting deck. Dual hydrostatic EZT transmissions deliver smooth, independent wheel control for tight maneuvering around obstacles. An electric PTO engages the deck quickly and cleanly. The frame is constructed from 2-inch tubular steel for structural rigidity. This unit is designed for residential lawn maintenance and is intended to be installed and serviced by qualified outdoor power equipment technicians or knowledgeable owner-operators.
The 17ARFACTA66 suits residential properties that demand a maneuverable, mid-size zero turn platform. The 46-inch deck width makes it well suited for lots with open turf areas as well as moderate landscaping obstacles. Two front anti-scalp deck wheels protect turf on uneven terrain. Front tires measure 11 inches by 6 inches and rear tires measure 20 inches by 8 inches with a square shoulder profile for consistent tracking. The adjustable premium high-back seat reduces operator fatigue on longer mowing sessions. An integrated deck wash system simplifies post-mow maintenance by allowing a garden hose connection directly to the deck housing.
Designed as an OEM-matched residential zero turn mower unit. This specific model is identified as the Troy-Bilt Mustang Z46. The warranty is void if used in professional or commercial applications. Not available for sale in California.
Assembly and initial setup should be performed according to the manufacturer operator manual before first use. Disengage the PTO and remove the ignition key before performing any deck inspection, blade service, or drivetrain maintenance. Blade removal requires appropriate torque tools; consult the operator manual for fastener specifications. Outdoor power equipment service should follow applicable ANSI and local safety standards for rotating blade machinery.
