The MR HEATER f160491 is a 125,000 BTU/h suspended natural gas unit heater designed for ceiling-mount installation in commercial and industrial spaces. Operating at 80 percent thermal efficiency with electronic ignition, it delivers reliable, consistent heat to areas up to 3,125 square feet. The aluminized steel cabinet connects to a 1/2-inch NPT gas line and vents through a 4-inch flue outlet. A conversion kit is included, allowing the unit to run on liquid propane gas as an alternative fuel. Licensed HVAC technicians and commercial heating contractors are the primary installers for this type of equipment.
This unit heater is suited for garages, warehouses, workshops, loading docks, and similar large open spaces where suspended overhead heating is the preferred method. It mounts to the ceiling at a recommended height of 8 to 10 feet, directing heat downward into the occupied zone. The cabinet measures 31.75 inches long by 30 inches wide by 30.5 inches high. Single-phase, 60 Hz electrical service at 3 amps powers the electronic ignition and blower components. The included NG-to-LP conversion kit makes this unit adaptable for job sites or facilities without natural gas supply.
Designed as an OEM-style suspended unit heater for ceiling-mount natural gas or liquid propane heating applications in commercial and industrial environments.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC or gas appliance technician in accordance with local codes and the International Fuel Gas Code (IFGC). Shut off the gas supply and de-energize the electrical circuit before servicing or connecting the unit. Maintain the manufacturer-specified mounting height of 8 to 10 feet and ensure the venting system uses the correct 4-inch flue pipe with proper clearances to combustibles. Gas line sizing and pressure must be verified at the connection point before startup.
