The MORRIS PRODUCTS TL-15 is a Type TL time-delay plug fuse rated at 15 amps and 125 volts AC with a 10 kiloampere (symmetric) interrupting rating. It features a loaded-link time-delay design that allows the fuse to carry motor starting surges and overload currents momentarily without opening, then clear on a sustained fault. The Edison base fits standard residential and light commercial screw-type fuse panels. The body is constructed of plastic with a brass threaded base. This fuse is sold as a single unit and is appropriate for installation by licensed electricians or qualified maintenance personnel working on panelboard and motor branch circuit protection.
The TL-15 is suited for use in residential fuse panels and light commercial motor branch circuits where Type T or Type TL time-delay fusing is required. Its loaded-link characteristic allows closer sizing to motor full-load ampacity, which improves overcurrent protection without nuisance opening during motor startup. It is commonly installed in service panels, disconnect boxes, and fused motor starters that accept Edison base plug fuses rated at 125 volts AC. Alternate catalog reference: T626-15.
Designed as a Type TL time-delay replacement plug fuse for Edison base fuse panels and motor branch circuit applications rated at 125 volts AC. Compatible catalog references include T626-15 and MPT626-15.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements for branch circuit and motor overcurrent protection. De-energize and lock out the panelboard or disconnect before removing or installing any fuse. Verify that the replacement fuse rating matches the circuit and load requirements before installation. Do not install a fuse with a higher ampere rating than the circuit conductors or equipment are rated for.
