The MORRIS PRODUCTS T-10 is a Type T heavy-duty, dual-element time-delay plug fuse rated for 10 amps at 125 volts AC with a 10 kiloampere (KA) interrupting rating. The dual-element construction separates the overload and short-circuit sensing functions, providing measured time-delay response on motor startup inrush current while still delivering fast short-circuit protection. The Edison base threads directly into standard fuse receptacles found in box cover units and fused disconnect panels. This fuse is listed under UL 248-11 and carries CSA and CE approvals. Electricians and industrial maintenance technicians install the T-10 in motor branch circuits, residential service panels, and commercial control panels where nuisance blowing must be minimized without sacrificing overcurrent protection.
The T-10 is suited for small motor overload protection in both industrial and commercial applications. It is specifically designed for circuits where motors cycle on and off frequently, producing repeated inrush surges that would open a standard single-element fuse prematurely. Typical installations include box cover units, motor-starting circuits, and critical residential branch circuits requiring extended time-delay tolerance. The spring-loaded dual-element design delivers more time-delay than medium-duty fuses, making it appropriate for demanding industrial motor protection scenarios.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for Type T Edison-base time-delay plug fuses used in residential and commercial box cover units and motor branch circuits rated 125 volts AC or less.
Installation must be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the panel or fused disconnect before removing or installing any fuse. Confirm the circuit voltage and current ratings match the fuse markings before installation. Do not substitute a higher-ampere fuse or a non-time-delay fuse in circuits designed for Type T time-delay protection.
